As part of the project “Strengthening Bird Conservation and Community Development through Birdwatching Activities in the Cau Hai Wetland, Hue City”, Laguna Lăng Cô, in collaboration with WildLife, organised a series of bird conservation education programmes at seven local secondary schools. The project is funded by the Banyan Global Foundation.
The initiative aims to give students a closer and more engaging understanding of nature, biodiversity, and the important role birds play in the ecosystem. Through these activities, Laguna Lăng Cô hopes to inspire a love for nature while encouraging environmental awareness and responsibility among younger generations.
During the sessions, students had the opportunity to learn from experts and educators about bird species, natural habitats, and the environmental challenges currently affecting local ecosystems. The lessons were delivered in an interactive and accessible way, helping students better appreciate the value of the natural world around them.

In addition to classroom discussions, the programme also featured hands-on activities and interactive experiences. Students were introduced to the use of binoculars, basic birdwatching techniques, and ways to identify common bird species. These practical activities made the learning experience both memorable and meaningful.
Through this educational outreach programme, Laguna Lăng Cô continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting local communities while promoting nature conservation and sustainable development. The initiative is part of the resort’s long-term efforts to preserve the region’s natural heritage and encourage future generations to live in harmony with the environment.
