The MICHELIN Guide has announced its 2026 MICHELIN Keys selection in Vietnam, featuring 21 hotels, eight more than in its inaugural year. Among them, Banyan Tree Lăng Cô has retained 2 MICHELIN Keys for the second consecutive year, in 2025 and 2026, reaffirming its place among the country’s distinguished hospitality destinations.
Set between the majestic Truong Son mountain range and the vast East Sea, Banyan Tree Lăng Cô is defined by a landscape unlike any other. Mountains rise behind the resort, the sea stretches ahead, and the lagoons of Central Vietnam unfold amid expansive greenery.
Across this natural terrain, 89 private pool villas are nestled along the hillside and down towards the coast. Each occupies a distinctive setting, offering its own perspective on the surrounding landscape – from sweeping sea views and tranquil lagoons to the lush green of the mountains.
Banyan Tree Lăng Cô at the Intersection of Fashion and Contemporary Art
Last July, Banyan Tree Lăng Cô hosted “Serenade of Summer – Resort 2026” collection by Vietnamese designer duo VUNGOC&SON.
For the first time, the shores of Laguna Lăng Cô were transformed into a runway for a major fashion showcase. Inspired by the spirit of summer, the collection came to life amid the sea, music and natural surroundings, taking fashion beyond the boundaries of a conventional runway.
Here, nature was more than a backdrop. The coastline, changing light, distant horizon and surrounding landscape became integral to the visual narrative of the collection, shaping an experience in which fashion and its setting were inseparable.
For Banyan Tree Lăng Cô, the event marked a notable moment in the resort’s journey, bringing its distinctive setting into closer conversation with contemporary fashion, art and creative expression.
A Setting for Life’s Most Meaningful Moments
With three kilometres of coastline, private pool villas and outdoor spaces framed by mountains and sea, Banyan Tree Lăng Cô also offers an intimate setting for significant occasions, particularly weddings.
The Wedding Chapel, beachfront and open-air venues provide a variety of settings for celebrations of different sizes and styles. A wedding here can become more than a single-day event; it can unfold into a shared holiday for family and friends. Days by the sea can be complemented by dining, wellness experiences and journeys into Hue, creating a more complete experience that extends well beyond the ceremony itself.
For occasions like these, the setting is never merely a backdrop. The landscape, architecture and unhurried rhythm of a resort stay become part of the memories created around a meaningful moment.
“Being awarded 2 MICHELIN Keys by the MICHELIN Guide for the second consecutive year is a tremendous source of pride for the entire Banyan Tree Lăng Cô team. This recognition belongs to the people who come together every day to shape the experience our guests enjoy. We look forward to continuing to bring guests closer to the nature, culture and people of Lăng Cô and Hue, while creating journeys that are truly meaningful and memorable.”

Discover Lăng Cô and Central Vietnam’s Heritage Trail
From the resort, guests can explore some of Central Vietnam’s most significant cultural destinations, including the Complex of Hue Monuments, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary – three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Da Nang International Airport is approximately an hour’s drive away, making the resort a convenient base for discovering the region.
Retaining 2 MICHELIN Keys for two consecutive years marks an important milestone in Banyan Tree Lăng Cô’s journey. Yet the resort’s identity extends beyond any single accolade. It is shaped by its coastal landscape, sense of seclusion, connection to Hue’s cultural heritage and an evolving range of experiences spanning hospitality, fashion, art and life’s most meaningful occasions.
In an increasingly diverse luxury hospitality landscape, it is these distinctive qualities that give a destination its lasting appeal – remembered not simply for where guests stayed, but for what they experienced during their time there.
