On the evening of 3 July, VUNGOC&SON officially unveiled its SERENADE OF SUMMER – RESORT 2026 collection at Banyan Tree Lăng Cô (Huế), presenting one of the most spectacular and artistically significant fashion shows of Summer 2026.
More than simply launching a new collection, the event was conceived as a harmonious symphony of fashion, music, and nature. For the first time, the untouched shoreline of Lăng Cô Beach became the main stage, where a gracefully curved white runway stretched across the sand, creating a setting that was both poetic and artistically captivating.
The evening opened with a special performance by singer Mỹ Lệ, accompanied by nearly 100 musicians from the Huế Academy of Music. Specially orchestrated for the event, the live compositions blended seamlessly with the sound of ocean waves and the surrounding natural landscape, inviting guests into the enchanting world of SERENADE OF SUMMER.
Following the opening performance, the four first faces—Miss Bùi Quỳnh Hoa, First Runner-up Quỳnh Anh, First Runner-up Hương Ly, and The Face Vietnam winner Lại Mai Hoa—made a striking entrance, introducing the collection through a series of couture-inspired creations. Dressed in oversized white fur coats, sculptural fur headpieces, corseted silhouettes, delicate tulle, and lace, the models evoked the image of ethereal summer muses emerging from nature.
The SERENADE OF SUMMER – RESORT 2026 collection features more than 68 entirely new designs, developed over several months by VUNGOC&SON. Centered around the purity of white, the designers drew inspiration from the natural palette of sand, clouds, and ocean waves to tell their vision of summer.
Rather than following the conventional resort wear aesthetic, VUNGOC&SON introduced a fresh perspective by blending resort fashion with the sophistication of haute couture. The collection is distinguished by sculptural tailoring, structured corsetry, layered organza, chiffon, lace, and tulle, complemented by thousands of handcrafted 3D floral appliqués, ruffles, and intricate embellishments. Asymmetrical constructions, voluminous sleeves, sculptural skirts, dramatic capes, and signature fur headpieces come together to create a fashion narrative that is both contemporary and deeply artistic.
A standout feature of the collection is its refined interpretation of resort tailoring crafted from natural linen. Instead of celebrating linen solely in its raw simplicity, VUNGOC&SON elevated the fabric through couture embellishment techniques, handcrafted embroidery, and sophisticated surface treatments. Thousands of crystals, beads, sequins, and dimensional floral details were meticulously applied by hand, creating a luxurious visual effect while preserving linen’s signature lightness and breathability—qualities essential to resort fashion. This innovative approach transforms a familiar textile into an expression of luxury resort style infused with Vietnamese artisanal craftsmanship.
Beyond womenswear, SERENADE OF SUMMER – RESORT 2026 also introduced an extensive menswear offering inspired by modern resort luxury. Oversized silhouettes, relaxed tailoring, silk shirts, longline outerwear, wide-leg trousers, and layered styling delivered an effortlessly sophisticated aesthetic. Set against an all-white palette, subtle pleating, embroidered textures, refined surface detailing, and architectural construction portrayed the image of the confident, contemporary gentleman in an elevated resort setting.
Alongside the statement runway pieces, VUNGOC&SON also presented a range of highly wearable luxury resort designs, including flowing dresses, jumpsuits, cocktail dresses, corseted silhouettes, and elegant holiday attire that embodies freedom, femininity, and effortless sophistication.
One of the evening’s most memorable highlights was the surprise appearance of supermodel Võ Hoàng Yến as the vedette. Making a dramatic entrance on a powerful motorcycle while wearing a commanding all-white ensemble, she created a striking contrast between the softness of couture and the bold spirit of modern freedom. The moment quickly became one of the defining images of the show.
Throughout the presentation, nearly 100 live musicians performed specially arranged orchestral compositions created exclusively for SERENADE OF SUMMER. Rather than serving merely as accompaniment, the music guided the emotional journey of the audience, giving each chapter of the collection its own distinct atmosphere—at times romantic, powerful, and deeply poetic.
Speaking about the collection, designers Vũ Ngọc and Son shared:
“We didn’t want to create a fashion show simply to present clothing. Our goal was to deliver a complete artistic experience where fashion, music, and nature come together to tell one story. Every design has been crafted with the utmost attention to detail to celebrate the beauty of summer, women, and Vietnam’s extraordinary natural landscapes.”
The designers also explained that their choice of Banyan Tree Lăng Cô was inspired not only by the breathtaking beauty of the destination but also by a desire to bring the landscapes of Huế and Lăng Cô closer to audiences through fashion. This marked the first time the brand had created an entire runway experience where every visual, musical, and spatial element revolved around the concept of luxury resort living.
With more than 1,000 crew members, nearly 100 musicians, over 68 new designs, and appearances by leading beauty queens, artists, and Vietnam’s top fashion models, SERENADE OF SUMMER – RESORT 2026 represents another milestone for VUNGOC&SON. More importantly, it signals a new direction for Vietnamese fashion—one that connects couture with culture, tourism, and performing arts, while showcasing the beauty of Huế and Vietnam to international audiences through immersive, emotionally rich, and world-class experiences.
