Pledge to reduce and eliminate single use plastics

- “Earth Day” Educational Exchange: This program was organized by Laguna Lăng Cô in collaboration with Loc Vinh Secondary School and Binh An Primary School. During this extracurricular session, students were provided with environmental knowledge in a visual and engaging manner, thereby raising awareness of the vital role each individual plays in reducing plastic waste and protecting the planet.
- Canh Duong Beach Cleanup: This activity served as the highlight of the program, featuring the enthusiastic participation of over 50 volunteers, including students, teachers, and Laguna associates. In just one afternoon, the team collected over 30 bags of waste (equivalent to 150kg), contributing to restoring a greener and cleaner appearance to the local coastline.

- Talk about Plastic with children at Laguna Lang Co Kindergarten: Share the message about reducing plastic waste and classifying waste with 19 kids in kindergarten.
- The Plastic Reduction Ambassador Contest for students in Phu Loc District: The Plastic Ambassador Contest has received enthusiastic responses and participation from many students, teachers, and parents. 10 Plastic Ambassadors were awarded and visited some initiatives to reduce single-use plastic at Laguna Lang Co.
- Clean up Bu Lu road: Within 1 hour, 15 employees cleaned a 1.5km stretch of road with about 100kg of trash collected.

To celebrate Earth Day, we collaborated with Loc Vinh Secondary School to hold a clean-up campaign and a knowledge competition among students about species conservation. Through funny quizzes and interactive games, students showed up their knowledge about various topics including the history of Earth Day, the importance of species and ecosystem conservation and waste separation. They also had chance to express their own opinions about current environmental problems and solutions to these problems through sticky note trees. At the end of the event, 170 students and teachers of the school signed up for a commitment to protect wildlife and biodiversity.

Today, the fight for a clean environment continues with increasing urgency, as the ravages of climate change become more manifest every day. Laguna Lăng Cô is proud to be a part of Earth Day, get involved and spread to the others.
With a message: “Pledge to reduce and eliminate single use plastics”, in this 2018, Laguna Lăng Cô held two activities for the associates and local students in Phu Loc district:
- Walk and Talk activity – Nature hilly trail – Challenges during the path about plastic and environment.
- Workshop for 65 local children from Loc Vinh secondary school in 1 hour about plastic.
