VTV.vn – On the evening of July 11, the grand finale of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026), themed “Connecting Horizons,” concluded with a spectacular victory for the Portuguese team.
After more than a month of illuminating the Han River with world-class performances, the Grand Finale and Closing Ceremony of DIFF 2026 took place on the evening of July 11, featuring an intense competition between China and Portugal. Ultimately, team Portugal claimed the Championship title of this year’s festival, taking home a $20,000 prize. Team China secured the Runner-up position with a prize of $10,000.
With the experience of reaching the DIFF finals for three consecutive years, the fireworks team Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd (China) delivered a visually stunning performance for the audience. Incorporating three Vietnamese songs into their show, the Chinese team guided spectators through a journey of discovering a youthful Da Nang using the language of light and music.
Meanwhile, the champion team, Macedos Pirotecnia (Portugal), showcased their signature strength in fireworks storytelling. Their performance featured deeply emotional and unique segments that seamlessly blended music and light, taking the audience from reflective, poignant moments to an explosive finale.
This year’s festival stands out as one of the most successful editions of DIFF to date. Over the past several weeks, hundreds of thousands of tourists have flocked to Da Nang to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere.
