In celebration of the International Day for Biological Diversity (22 May), and as part of the project “Strengthening Bird Conservation and Community Development through Birdwatching Activities in the Cau Hai Wetland, Hue City,” funded by the Banyan Global Foundation, Laguna Lăng Cô collaborated with Wildlife Team to organize a series of meaningful activities aimed at raising community awareness about nature conservation and the protection of wild birds.

In the morning, a birdwatching activity was held for resort guests and Laguna associates, featuring the special participation of forest ranger Truong Cam, who is well known for his ability to imitate the calls of more than 100 bird species. The activity offered participants a closer connection with nature while enhancing their understanding of the local ecosystem and the beauty of wild birds.

In the afternoon, Laguna Lang Co joined hands with Wildlife Team, Bach Ma National Park, Phu Loc Commune People’s Committee, Phu Loc Commune Police, and the Forest Protection Department of Southern Hue City to conduct a community outreach campaign discouraging the trade and consumption of wild birds in high-risk areas across Phu Loc Commune. The initiative aimed to help prevent illegal hunting, protect natural habitats, and spread awareness about biodiversity conservation within the local community.
Through these activities, Laguna Lang Co hopes to inspire a greater appreciation for nature, strengthen environmental awareness, and work together with the community to preserve a sustainable ecosystem for future generations.
