Hue ready to welcome International Tea Festival – Hue 2025

Hue City, a land inherently associated with contemplative beauty, sophistication, and deep cultural roots, is eagerly preparing for a completely new event that is yet very “true to the Hue spirit”: The International Tea Festival – Hue 2025. This marks the first time an international-scale thematic festival dedicated to tea is being held in the Ancient Capital, signaling a strong transformation in cultural approach—creatively spreading traditional values through a modern language.

The event will take place from December 10–12, 2025, at Truong Sanh Palace (The Palace of Longevity) within the Hue Imperial Citadel—one of the most beautiful and pristine royal architectural spaces in the Imperial City. The selection of Truong Sanh Palace is not only symbolic but also serves as a unique invitation: returning tea, a beverage deeply imbued with the Asian spirit, to its rightful context of royal sublimation, while opening a fresh journey of connection with the global tea-loving community.

This is an international, professional, and culturally rich event. The festival is directed by the Hue City People’s Committee, with the Hue City Department of Tourism coordinating with the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and various related units. Notably, the program receives professional companionship from the Vietnam Tea Association (VITAS) and the ASEAN Tea Organization (ATO)—two prestigious organizations in the field of tea culture, product, and market development in the region.

The close coordination between management agencies, professional units, and the creative sector promises a high-quality festival. It retains the distinct Hue identity while ensuring international standards and professionalism. This is also an occasion for Hue to reaffirm its role as the cultural and festival center of the country, contributing to the strategy of developing green tourism and experiential Hue travel products.

The festival offers a creative space for all tea lovers. Contemporary tea art performances will provide an experience where tradition meets creativity, depicting the timeless beauty of tea through novel performance languages.

For those wishing to delve deeper into the story of tea, a series of workshops will offer opportunities to meet authors, artisans, researchers, and tea professionals. The sharing sessions—ranging from tea ceremony knowledge and tea-making techniques to building creative tea brands—will help broaden perspectives and inspire practical application in daily life. Hue has long been known as the cradle of royal culture, where every way of life is steeped in sophistication. Tea is no exception: from royal tea and Tinh Tam Lake lotus tea to the habit of drinking tea in daily life. Hue hosting the International Tea Festival for the first time holds special significance, as the tea culture of this land represents an intersection between royal tradition and the rustic charm of folk life.

The space of Truong Sanh Palace, where the original beauty of the Nguyen Dynasty architecture is recreated, makes the visitor’s experience even more complete. In this ancient and elegant atmosphere, every tea story seems to come alive, echoing amidst the rhythm of contemporary life.

Look forward to a youthful, creative, and inspiring festival. The International Tea Festival – Hue 2025 is not just a tea-tasting event, but a meeting point for cultural values, tourism, and the creative economy.

Visitors can explore world tea culture in a space that is distinctly Hue. Artisans and producers have the opportunity to connect, expand markets, and introduce products. Young people can experience creative activities, from tea brewing to practicing tea meditation.

Hue City continues to affirm its position as a festival destination of national and international stature. With a methodical scale, rich content, and a youthful approach, the event promises to be one of the major highlights of Hue travel in 2025.

Come to Hue this December to immerse yourself in the space of tea, culture, and creativity.

From December 10–12, 2025, Truong Sanh Palace will become a place where every cup of tea tells a story: about the land, people, memories, and emotions.
