Vietnamese golf prodigy Nguyen Tuan Anh etched his name in history with a commanding wire-to-wire victory at the prestigious Singha Thailand Amateur Open 2025, one of the most respected tournaments in Asia.
Round 1: A Stunning -10 Start
Right out of the gate at the par-70 Panya Indra Golf Club, the 16-year-old delivered a jaw-dropping performance. He carded 11 birdies against a lone bogey, signing off with a sensational 60 (-10). The fiery opening round not only put him on top of the leaderboard but also gave him the momentum to dominate the field across all four days.

Round 2: Staying Steady
Day two was all about composure and control. Tuan Anh produced five birdies without a single blemish, posting a bogey-free 65 (-5). The clean card highlighted his ability to manage the course under pressure while reinforcing his lead.
Round 3: Another Bogey-Free Masterclass
Round three saw the Vietnamese youngster continue his brilliant run. With six birdies and zero bogeys, he signed off a 64 (-6)—his second consecutive bogey-free round. That brought his total to -21, building a commanding nine-shot cushion over the chasing pack. At this point, victory seemed inevitable.

Final Round: Closing with Nerves of Steel
Entering the final day, Nguyen Tuan Anh weathered an early bogey on the first hole but quickly regained his footing with birdies on holes 3 and 8, making the turn at 1-under. With his total score at -23, he maintained a safe 8-stroke cushion over Thai contenders Thanawin Lee and Teerawut Boonseeor. On the back nine, he balanced three bogeys with three crucial birdies to seal his victory.
With round scores of 60-65-64-69, Nguyen Tuan Anh clinched the 2025 Singha Thailand Amateur Open trophy with a total score of 258 (-22), a dominant 5-stroke margin over runners-up Thanawin Lee and Teerawut Boonseeor of Thailand.
This victory is not just a personal milestone but a new chapter for Vietnamese golf. For the first time, Vietnam’s flag has been raised at the top of the podium at one of Asia’s oldest and most respected amateur tournaments, a gathering of the continent’s brightest young talents.

This landmark win caps a breakout season for the Ho Chi Minh City native. Earlier in Thailand, Nguyen Tuan anh had already won the Best Amateur title at the Singha Bangkok Open (All Thailand Golf Tour) and was crowned the 2025 Faldo Series Asia champion. Domestically, he secured his first-ever national title at the 2025 Vietnam National Golf Championship in Gia Lai. At just 16, Tuan Anh has firmly established himself as the face of a new, dynamic generation in Vietnamese golf.
