From 27th to 29th May, the Vietnamese National Team will compete in the APGC Junior Championship 2025 at the Hong Kong Golf Club. The tournament, designed for U17 athletes, brings together many outstanding young golfers from across the Asia-Pacific region.
This year, the Vietnamese National Team comprises four athletes: Nguyen Tuan Anh, Ho Anh Huy, Anna Le, and Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh. They will compete in two pairs:
- Team 1: Ho Anh Huy – Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh
- Team 2: Nguyen Tuan Anh – Anna Le
Alongside the mixed-gender team competition, the athletes’ scores will also contribute to the Boy Team and Girl Team standings:
- Boy Team: Nguyen Tuan Anh – Ho Anh Huy
- Girl Team: Anna Le – Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh

Among the team members, Tuan Anh and Anna Le both participated in the 2024 edition of the championship. The athletes will play 54 holes over three days, following a stroke play format for both team and individual scores. Male golfers will play from the black tees, while female golfers will play from the green tees.
At last year’s championship, the Vietnamese team made an impressive debut, securing a top-10 team finish. The pair of Nguyen Duc Son and Nguyen Viet Gia Han finished 8th, while Tuan Anh and Anna Le tied for 9th place.
The APGC Junior Championship is an annual tournament organised by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC). It aims to foster the development of junior golf within the region and provide young athletes with opportunities to gain international competition experience. This is a crucial platform for young Vietnamese golfers to hone their competitive spirit, enhance their professional skills, and earn points on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

Notably, both Nguyen Tuan Anh and Ho Anh Huy – Vietnam’s representatives at the APGC Junior Championship 2025 – recently competed in the 2025 Faldo Series Asia Grand Final. This prestigious tournament, founded by the legendary Sir Nick Faldo, gathers the finest young talents from the region.
The event was held at Laguna Lăng Cô in Hue, one of Asia’s premier golf destinations. Nguyen Tuan Anh delivered a stunning performance, securing the championship title with a total score of -8. He becomes the third consecutive young Vietnamese golfer to triumph at the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, continuing the proud legacy of Vietnamese junior golf. Ho Anh Huy also demonstrated a determined effort, gaining valuable experience and composure ahead of the APGC Championship.
These outstanding achievements at the Faldo Series not only serve as a significant professional stepping stone for these young athletes but also underscore the vital role of world-class courses like Laguna Golf Lăng Cô in nurturing and elevating Vietnamese golfing talent on the continental stage.
