The Banyan Group Exchange Programme gives Hotel Leaseback Program owners more flexibility when planning their holidays. Owners can exchange part of their annual entitlement for stays at participating properties across the network. As a result, they can discover new destinations while making the most of their ownership benefits.
This guide explains how the programme works, how to calculate Exchange Credit, and how to redeem it. You will also find the booking conditions and a list of participating properties.
About the Exchange Programme
Property owners in the Hotel Leaseback Program could exchange part of their annual entitlement for a complimentary stay at any destination within the Exchange Programme network.
To join the programme, owners must deposit 15 days of their annual entitlement into the exchange pool. Banyan Group then converts these days into Exchange Credit based on the property’s actual average daily rate (ADR) from the previous year.
Owners can use this credit to redeem accommodation at participating properties. In addition, the Owner Services team can help check availability, arrange reservations, and record each redemption.
How the Exchange Programme Works
The programme gives owners more options when planning stays across participating Banyan Group properties. Once owners receive their Exchange Credit, they can use it to book accommodation under the applicable terms and conditions.
Before making a reservation, keep the following rules in mind:
- Your Exchange Credit can be redeemed at the participating properties based upon Best Available Rate (BAR) at the time of booking.
- Reservations are on a first come, first served basis subject to availability.
- Breakfast is not included under your entitlement reservation. It is for room only.
- Blackout dates may apply, owing to your rental agreement and Hotel policy.
- No multiple booking is allowed, maximum 1 unit per stay.
- Maximum 5 nights booking per stay.
- The unused Exchange Credit cannot be forwarded to the following year and will be forfeited at the end of each year.
How Exchange Value Is Calculated
Property owners in the Hotel Leaseback Program could exchange part of their annual entitlement for a complimentary stay at any destination within the Exchange Programme network.
In order to confirm the participation, the owner must deposit 15 days of his annual entitlement into the exchange pool. These days will be converted to Exchange Credit based on the actual Average Daily Rate of the past year. The Exchange Credit could be used to redeem for accommodation at the exchange destinations within the network.
The Owner Services team will assist during the reservation process including check availability, making reservations, and record redemption for the owner.
How to Redeem Your Exchange Value
Owners can redeem their Exchange Credit at participating properties based on the Best Available Rate (BAR) when they make a reservation. The final amount depends on the selected property, travel dates, and applicable rate.
For example, say you have USD 7,500 of Exchange Credit and would like to make an exchange request to stay 5 days at a participating property in the network, which has a Best Available Rate of USD 600 per day for the period you would like to stay. Your stay would cost USD 3,000 (i.e. USD 600 x 5 days) and you would have a balance of USD 4,500 remaining for redemption.
The Owner Services team will assist during the reservation process including check availability, making reservations, and record redemption for the owner.
Where You Can Stay
The Banyan Group Exchange Programme includes participating properties across Asia and beyond. Owners can choose a destination based on their travel preferences and available Exchange Credit.
However, all stays depend on availability and the credit required for the selected dates. A property may also become unavailable for exchange once it reaches its allocation limit, when redeemed nights equal deposited nights.
