On the afternoon of April 23, 2026, the press conference for the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final 2026 took place at Laguna Lăng Cô, delivering key updates as the tournament unfolds in dramatic fashion. One of the most significant announcements was the confirmation that Laguna Lăng Cô will continue to host the Asia Grand Final from 2027 to 2029 – marking another milestone in a long-standing partnership and reinforcing the destination’s status in staging world-class regional competitions.
The event was attended by prominent representatives, including Matthew Faldo, Director of the Faldo Series; Gavin Herholdt, Managing Director of Laguna Lăng Cô; Vũ Nguyên, Secretary General of the Vietnam Golf Association; and Bạch Cường Khang, Chairman of the National Golf Referees Committee.
The press conference also welcomed journalists and editors from leading domestic and international media outlets such as VTVCab, Thể thao Hằng ngày, Vietnam Golf & Leisure, Golf Edit, Golf News, Golf & Life Magazine, along with international representatives from AGIF and Par Golf based in Malaysia and Singapore.
A key highlight of the conference was the official announcement confirming the continued partnership between the Faldo Series and Laguna Golf Lăng Cô for the 2027–2029 period.
Speaking at the event, Matthew Faldo shared:

On the professional side, this year’s tournament features athletes from over 20 countries. After the first two days of play, the leaderboard has seen unexpected shifts. Following the tournament discussions, the organizers held an outdoor clinic at the driving range for students from the local Lộc Vĩnh area. A special highlight this year was the participation of Kelly Tan, a professional Malaysian golfer currently competing on the LPGA Tour. She personally coached the students on basic techniques, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Under her dedicated guidance, the children had the opportunity to approach the sport of golf, helping to spread the sporting spirit and discover potential “young seeds” within the local community.
