Da Nang has officially welcomed two new international air routes, strengthening its position as a leading tourism hub in Central Vietnam and expanding connectivity across Southeast Asia.

On July 1, Philippine Airlines inaugurated its direct flight connecting Manila and Da Nang. The first flight, PR585, landed at Da Nang International Airport with 193 passengers on board and was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute, cultural performances, ribbon-cutting, and gift-giving ceremonies.
The Manila – Da Nang service currently operates three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using the Airbus A321 aircraft with 199 seats, including 12 business-class seats. From November 2025, the frequency is expected to increase to four flights per week.

In 2024, Da Nang welcomed more than 65,000 visitors from the Philippines. In just the first five months of 2025, over 49,000 Filipino travelers visited the city – more than double the same period last year – demonstrating Da Nang’s growing appeal to this market.
Philippine Airlines, the national carrier of the Philippines, operates an extensive network with direct flights to Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East. The airline currently runs 24 weekly flights from Vietnam’s major cities – Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi – to the Philippines.

In addition, Vietjet has announced a new route linking Da Nang with Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s vibrant capital. Scheduled to begin on October 26, 2025, the daily service will offer seven round-trip flights per week. Departures from Da Nang are set for 12:10, arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 15:50 local time. The return flights leave Kuala Lumpur at 16:50 and land in Da Nang at 18:30 local time.
Kuala Lumpur, one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic destinations, is famous for its iconic Petronas Twin Towers, bustling night markets, heritage quarters, and diverse cultural attractions. Meanwhile, Da Nang remains Vietnam’s “most livable city,” known for its stunning beaches, rich culinary scene, and proximity to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Hoi An Ancient Town and the Imperial City of Hue.

Flying with Vietjet, passengers can enjoy fresh Vietnamese specialties such as Phở Thìn, bánh mì, and iced coffee, alongside international cuisines, served by a professional and friendly cabin crew. Vietjet also offers its SkyJoy loyalty program, giving travelers the chance to collect reward points, win lucky draws, and redeem gifts from over 250 top brands in travel, dining, and shopping.
With these two new routes, Da Nang continues to affirm its role as a key gateway to Central Vietnam, opening more opportunities for cultural exchange, trade, and tourism across the region.
