To encourage and develop the passion of young talents in the golf industry, Laguna Lăng Cô is organizing the “Write to Golf Legend Sir Nick Faldo” contest. This event is a unique platform for fans of the noble sport, young individuals who believe in the power of their words, and those who wish to share their dreams with one of the living legends of the sport – Sir Nick Faldo. This coincides with the international tournament named after the legend, set to take place at the Laguna Golf Lăng Cô in April 2024.
Purpose and meaning
The “Write to Golf Legend Sir Nick Faldo” contest aims to:
- Encourage and nurture a passion for golf among the youth.
- Provide an opportunity for young individuals to share their dreams and aspirations with one of the world’s greatest golf icons – Sir Nick Faldo.
- Strengthen the bond between the Vietnamese golf community and the legendary Sir Nick Faldo, thereby inspiring and motivating the next generation of golfers to develop.

“Share your dreams and aspirations in golf and the impact that Sir Nick Faldo has had on the development of this sport and your life.”
Rewards
- The winner will have the chance to meet and interact directly with Nick Faldo at a special event during the 15th Faldo Series Asia Finals in 2024.
- The winning letter will be published on Sir Faldo’s and Laguna Lăng Cô Golf Course’s social media platforms.
- A 3-day 2-night vacation for the family (4 people) at Banyan Tree Lăng Cô – Laguna Lăng Cô Resort.
Program rules
- Open to all students aged 12-21.
- Each handwritten letter should be around 300 words (in English).
- The program runs from March 26, 2024, to April 15, 2024. As per the postmark, letters must be sent via postal mail to the address of Laguna Lăng Cô by April 15, 2024.

- Only one letter per participant is allowed.
- Letters will be evaluated based on passion for golf and inspiration from Sir Nick Faldo.
