Every summer, the risk of drowning among children becomes a major concern in many areas, especially those near rivers, lakes, and the sea. To help raise awareness and improve water safety skills, Laguna Lăng Cô is proud to continue supporting the local swimming education program – a meaningful initiative we have been leading since 2014.
In 2025, the program is being implemented in collaboration with Hue Help, Loc Vinh Secondary School, and Binh An Primary School, and consists of two phases:
Phase 1: Awareness training for nearly 1,000 students on water safety, covering topics such as:
- Common causes of drowning and basic safety principles
- Proper use of life jackets and waterway transportation safety
- How to identify and avoid rip currents at the beach
- Indirect rescue techniques
Phase 2: Free swimming lessons for 120 students held at Binh An Beach.
The children participate in 18 morning sessions under the guidance of professionally trained instructors. With the belief that “every child who can swim is a life protected,” Laguna Lăng Cô remains committed to supporting the safety and sustainable development of the local community.
