At just 16 years old, Nguyen Tuan Anh is demonstrating the powerful emergence of a young talent. This past September, his victory at the SINGHA Thailand Amateur Open not only secured him an international title but also propelled him to the 170th position on the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
This marks a significant leap for Nguyen Tuan Anh, who just a few months ago was primarily known for his performance in domestic junior tournaments. His rapid ascent began after winning the National Championship, which he followed by competing in regional events and earning the “Best Amateur” title at a tournament on the All Thailand Golf Tour. Building on that momentum, his recent championship win at the SINGHA Thailand Amateur Open resulted in a remarkable 47-place jump on the WAGR.

This string of successes has made Tuan Anh a prominent name in the selection process for the 33rd SEA Games, to be held in Thailand. While three official spots on the national team are already filled, his outstanding performance makes him a strong contender for one of the two remaining positions selected by the coaching staff.
With his new ranking, Tuan Anh solidifies his status as the number two amateur golfer in Vietnam, trailing only Nguyen Anh Minh. His position underscores his exceptional growth and maturity over a very short period.

Looking ahead, Nguyen Tuan Anh has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Nam A Bank Vietnam Masters 2025. The tournament, which gathers top domestic golfers and competitors from the Asian Development Tour (ADT), is considered one of the premier events on the national professional golf circuit. It will provide him with a crucial opportunity to test his skills against international-caliber players, marking an important step in his continuing development.
