Since January 2026, Laguna Lăng Cô and VietHED have officially agreed to collaborate on implementing the project “Commercialization and Digitalization of Traditional Lùng Tùng Drum Craft Knowledge of Artisan Trương Thị Hường.” The Lùng Tùng drum, a traditional folk toy deeply rooted in the cultural life of Huế, represents the simplicity, creativity, and heritage of local communities.
The project is proposed, content-developed, and directly implemented by VietHED, with funding provided through a non-refundable financial grant from Laguna Lăng Cô Sustainability. The initiative aims to contribute to cultural preservation and sustainable community development by working directly with local artisans and safeguarding traditional craft knowledge.
We believe that the outcomes of this project will meaningfully contribute to the preservation of Vietnamese cultural heritage, while reaffirming Laguna Lăng Cô’s long-term commitment to sustainable development rooted in local communities. By working closely with local artisans and partners, Laguna Lăng Cô continues to support initiatives that protect traditional knowledge, strengthen community livelihoods, and create lasting shared value for the destination.
