At the launch ceremony for the global Michelin Key 2025 hotel rating system, held on October 8th, the Michelin Guide officially introduced the list of hotels honored this year. This event is considered a special milestone, as it marks the first time Michelin has expanded into the leisure and accommodation sector, alongside gastronomy.

Following rigorous assessments by anonymous inspectors, Vietnam has 13 hotels and resorts recognized in various categories. Among them, Banyan Tree Lăng Cô—a resort nestled by one of the world’s most beautiful bays in Hue city—is one of only three accommodations to be awarded 2 Michelin Keys. This is a prestigious category reserved for “hotels that are outstanding in every aspect.”

Unlike rankings based solely on amenities or luxury, the Michelin Key focuses on the overall experience, assessing based on 5 global criteria: unique architecture and design, quality and consistency of service, distinctive personality, the balance between value and experience, and the ability to create a special emotional impact for guests.

Banyan Tree Lăng Cô’s receipt of the 2 Michelin Keys is a recognition of its continuous effort to “depict the local spirit through architectural language and profound resort philosophy.” This title confirms that the resort is not just a place to stay, but a destination capable of delivering a complete journey of cultural and natural discovery.

Tucked between the majestic Truong Son mountain range and the poetic Lăng Cô Bay, Banyan Tree Lăng Cô is an architectural masterpiece inspired by ancient Vietnamese culture and contemporary art. Furthermore, symbolic motifs like the lotus flower, ancient coins, and the Đông Sơn drum are cleverly incorporated, offering an experience that is both familiar and novel.

Each villa with its private pool is a secluded, tranquil space. Here, guests can regenerate energy and find absolute peace while harmonizing with nature. Notably, all villas offer views of the blue sea or the rolling mountains, creating a sense of privacy, serenity, and ultimate relaxation.
