Laguna Lăng Cô Hosts Art Exhibition ‘Silent World’ By Local Disabled Young Artists

Thua Thien Hue, Vietnam, 23 April 2015 – Laguna Lăng Cô will be hosting the art exhibition “Silent World” for deaf local young artists from 23rd April to 23rd May, 2015 at Angsana Lăng Cô’s hotel lobby. The exhibition will showcase over 40 paintings and calligraphy pieces by 12 deaf and disabled young adults from Danang Deaf Club.

All artworks are available for purchase (as pay-as-you-wish) and guests can support these local young adults by bringing home a piece of Vietnam. All proceeds from the exhibition will go to a fund for the development and operation of Danang Deaf Club. Guests can also show their support by visiting the exhibition and leaving a message in the logbook to encourage the young artists.

“Silent World” in Laguna Lăng Cô belongs to a series of exhibitions by the Danang Deaf Club with the aim to help disabled young adults reach out to the world and build up their hidden art talents. In July, there will be a major exhibition at Cham Museum (Da Nang). Danang Deaf Club, part of Danang Disability Association, is a second home for 74 deaf young adults in Central Vietnam. Many of them struggle with difficult life situations and job security. Despite difficulties, they are optimistic art enthusiasts who benefit from the Club’s art classes and strive to explore new doors in life through their artwork.
